– Bio –

Dr. Sand received his B.S. in Biology from York College of Pennsylvania, and then attended the University Of Minnesota College Of Veterinary Medicine.  During veterinary school, Dr. Sand worked under the tutelage of Dr. Carl Osborn – a world renowned leader in Veterinary Urology. He was president of the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association and also a yearbook photographer.  Dr. Sand was formerly the Medical Director at one of the largest private, non-referral 24-Hour Veterinary Medical/Emergency facilities in Maryland. His areas of interest include internal medicine, endocrinology, ultrasound, and orthopedics.  Dr. Sand, although not a board certified veterinary Radiologist or Internist, has over 20 years of experience and has performed thousands Diagnostic Ultrasound procedures.  He is a member of the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Greater Baltimore Veterinary Medical Association.
